FAG bearing installation and disassembly skills

FAG bearing installation:

1. First put the eccentric sleeve on the eccentric step of the inner sleeve of the FAG bearing, and tighten it by hand in the direction of rotation of the shaft. Then insert or hold the small iron rod into the counterbore on the eccentric sleeve, tap the small iron rod with the hammer in the direction of the rotation of the shaft, make the eccentric sleeve securely install, and finally lock the hexagon socket screw on the eccentric sleeve.

2. The bolts of the fixed FAG bearing housing should not be tightened first, so that the bearing casing can rotate in the bearing housing. Then fasten the bearing block bolts. Also mount the other end bearing and seat on the same shaft and turn the shaft a few turns to allow the FAG bearing itself to automatically position itself.

3. Apply lubricant to the bearing seat and bearing mating surface, and insert the FAG bearing into the bearing housing. Then assemble the assembled bearing with the FAG housing on the shaft and push it to the desired position for installation.

4. Before installing the FAG bearing on the shaft, the fixing pin of the bearing shell must be unplugged, and the surface of the journal should be smoothed and cleaned, and the oil is rust-proof and lubricated at the journal (allowing the bearing to rotate slightly on the shaft) .

Disassembly of FAG bearings:

1. Loosen the bolts that secure the bearing housing and remove the FAG bearing from the shaft together with the housing. Note that before the FAG bearing seat at one end of the shaft is removed, the bearing bolts at the other end of the shaft should be loosened to prevent the bearings at both ends from being damaged by each other.

2. First loosen the locking screw on the eccentric sleeve of the FAG bearing with an Allen key, then insert the small iron rod into the counterbore on the eccentric sleeve of the top cover, and loosen the eccentric sleeve against the rotation direction of the shaft.
